The association "PIKAČ" enabled 1st grade students to participate in the activities of building a fence in the old fashioned way in the center of Čakovec in a fun, purposeful and educational way, getting to know the environment and cultural heritage of their region. The students learned to weave a fence with the help of sticks, but they were also an opportunity for the younger generations to get to know the ancient way of working with natural materials, as well as for the older generations, who were brought back to their childhood for a moment. In this way, they were enabled to develop or improve their fine motor skills, which contribute to better memory, greater attention, hand-eye coordination, and the development of creativity... In order to learn about dental and oral hygiene, the youngest students of our school were visited by a nurse. She gave a lecture to the students and demonstrated how to brush their teeth properly, after which the students had the opportunity to demonstrate the acquired skills on a model. The students solved the crossword puzzle and colored the disease that was related to the health of the teeth. At the end of the lesson, all the students were sweetened with an apple because we learned that one apple a day keeps the doctor out of the house. We advise you to take care of the health of your teeth and to brush them after every meal.

We believe that they have taken small steps to take care of our planet Earth.
