What's up Mr. Bug?

  Students of the 1st elementary school in Čakovec designed the clothes, handbags and jewellery from wasted and recycled materials. After then they presented them at the fashion show. This memorable performance was held on November 11, 2021 in the presence of the students, parents, teachers, school principal, Mr. David Vugrinec – The Head of Social, International Affairs and Public Relations of the City of Čakovec and the Mayor of Čakovec Ljerka Cividini. Students have learned that huge amount of materials can be reused, that they need to save energy, reduce water consumption, move more on foot, and less with cars. Due to the fashion show, the students sent a message to the participants of the event that they want to become responsible citizens who will keep their environment clean, take measures to stop climate change in order to save the planet Earth. For the Covid 19 safety all adults who participated in the show were vaccinated. After the fashion show the Project Dissemination

  Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the “ Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle ” waste hierarchy. Recycling aims to improve environmental sustainability by substituting raw material inputs and redirecting waste outputs out of the economic system. It’s a truly important cause and something that our society needs to take seriously as soon as possible.
