Eco fashion show in Croatia!

 

Students of the 1st elementary school in Čakovec designed the clothes, handbags and jewellery from wasted and recycled materials. After then they presented them at the fashion show. This memorable performance was held on November 11, 2021 in the presence of the students, parents, teachers, school principal, Mr. David Vugrinec – The Head of Social, International Affairs and Public Relations of the City of Čakovec and the Mayor of Čakovec Ljerka Cividini. Students have learned that huge amount of materials can be reused, that they need to save energy, reduce water consumption, move more on foot, and less with cars. Due to the fashion show, the students sent a message to the participants of the event that they want to become responsible citizens who will keep their environment clean, take measures to stop climate change in order to save the planet Earth.

For the Covid 19 safety all adults who participated in the show were vaccinated.

After the fashion show the Project Dissemination was held -The students presented the project activities carried out at the 1st student exchange in Poland.

The Design Workshops-the World Seen under a Microscope

  Erasmus+ students in the classroom talked about how to learn biology, what a scientific metod is, what qualities a good reasearcher should have. They become familiar with biological methods of learning about the World- observation and experience. They learned the difference between observation and experience and the different stages of using the scientific metod. Thanks to the classes, they know what a research problem, hypothesis, research and control test is. Then they were briefly introduced/reminded of the microscope construction and microscopy rules and how to prepare microscopic preparations. The next part of the classes after a short instructions proceeded according to a simple scenario in the form of fun. During the class, students looked at the praparations under a microscope and prepared them themselves. They got to know the ‘microworld’ of insects. Next week, during the art classes plastic visions of ‘The World under the microscope’ will be created.

International photo competition

Primary School No. 11 cordially invites students of partners' schools from the Erasmus+ project What's up Mr. Bug? to participate in a photo contest.
