In the month of May, there were many rainy days in our region, so the students of the 2nd grade I primary school in Čakovec set up buckets in the school yard to collect rainwater, which they later used to water the plants in the school garden, in their families they used plastic bags instead canvas, they walked more, and some families replaced gasoline cars with electric cars. During the first year of the project, all partner countries created presentations on their education systems, shared experiences, showcased best practices, and discussed educational systems during virtual meetings for teachers. These engaging sessions fostered fruitful exchanges, allowing us to learn from one another and gain valuable insights into different approaches to education. It was a significant step towards promoting international cooperation and enhancing the overall quality of education within our project. https://www.slideserve.com/sirius/education-system-in-turkey
At the beginning of May 2023, students of the First Primary School in Čakovec from Croatia, under the guidance of teacher Branka Hranjec, painted in the monotype technique the Croatian iris (iris croatica), which became the Croatian national flower in 2000 because it is treated as a special species and as an endemic. During the activity, the students reflected on man's bad and careless attitude towards nature, but also expressed their observations that man also takes care to prevent pollution, founds various organizations that take care of the environment, reforests, grows and plants plants. The students got to know and researched the expressive features of the monotype technique as a graphic technique, but also got to know the concept of printing.
