2nd Students Online meeting of the Erasmus+ project “What’s up Mr. Bug?”

Although due to COVID-19 all contact meetings have been postponed, the project partners meet regularly with the teams remotely and present their thematic works and tasks.

Students participating in the Erasmus+ project “What’s up Mr. Bug?” had an online meeting-discussion on March 19th. Each partner school prepared presentations on the favourite place in their country and typical food. The young people presented what is specific to each country, shared their experiences, chatted and played interactive games (thanks to Mentimeter and Word Wall apps) with colleagues from partners’ schools. Despite the time differences, and remote contacts it worked really well and we had a lovely time, full of joy and smiles!

·         What place in your country do you recomend partners’ students to visit and why?

·         What food (dish)  from your country is the best in your opinion?

Students can prepare 2 slides: one about the place and the second about food or hava a bacgroung photo of that place, show the food etc.

The Design Workshops-the World Seen under a Microscope

  Erasmus+ students in the classroom talked about how to learn biology, what a scientific metod is, what qualities a good reasearcher should have. They become familiar with biological methods of learning about the World- observation and experience. They learned the difference between observation and experience and the different stages of using the scientific metod. Thanks to the classes, they know what a research problem, hypothesis, research and control test is. Then they were briefly introduced/reminded of the microscope construction and microscopy rules and how to prepare microscopic preparations. The next part of the classes after a short instructions proceeded according to a simple scenario in the form of fun. During the class, students looked at the praparations under a microscope and prepared them themselves. They got to know the ‘microworld’ of insects. Next week, during the art classes plastic visions of ‘The World under the microscope’ will be created.

The world of insects - interactive workshops for Turkish students!

Each of the partner schools has started a series of workshops related to the topic of our project “What's up Mr. Bug?” Despite the difficulties related to distance learning, the great biology teacher Mr. Erkan Urey managed to conduct extremely interesting classes for Turkish students. International photo competition

Primary School No. 11 cordially invites students of partners' schools from the Erasmus+ project What's up Mr. Bug? to participate in a photo contest. The subject of the photo works is "The word of insects".  Each participant may send only one photo work (in JPG format).  Details of the contest You can find in the regulations. The winners will receive diplomas and some attractive prizes as wireless speakers, wireless headphones and others. We are looking forward to your photos.
